Certified Temperament Counselor
Heritage International Bible College and Seminary and the National Christian Counselor Association (NCCA) combined to make up one of the largest education and training organizations for Christian counselors in the area. We offer counselor training, counseling certification/licensure and multiple degree programs.
Phase 1: After completing all requirements, students will receive the following credentials: • N.C.C.A. Certified Temperament Counselor • N.C.C.A. Membership • S.C.C.A. Professional Membership
Advance Courses: Advanced courses are available through scheduled classes and self-study. Students wanting to receive certification in specific areas are required to complete advanced courses. Degree programs require hours in advanced study. Please talk with school administration for more information.
Advanced Degrees and Licensing
Phase 2: Completed Phase 1 and requirements for this phase. Students will then receive one of the following: • Certified Pastoral Counselor (non-degreed) • Licensed Pastoral Counselor (Bachelor’s degree) • Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor (Master’s degree) • Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor — Advanced Certification (Doctorate degree)
All degrees, Associate through Doctorate, are conferred under the direction of the American Mission Teams.
Heritage International Bible College and Seminary, the American Mission Team and National Christian Counselors Association are accredited as a Comprehensive Accredited Member through the Accrediting Commission International (A.C.I.).
Continuing Education & Workshops
Short-term intensive courses, workshops, and seminars for pastors, church leaders, and counselors seeking to deepen their biblical counseling knowledge and skills. No formal enrollment required — register for individual courses as your schedule allows.

Education Rooted in Scripture
We are a member of the N.C.C.A. which includes ministers, Christian counselors, testing specialists, medical doctors, attorneys, and educators. The N.C.C.A. has for over forty years assisted thousands of Christians to fulfill their call in the ministry of counseling. Christian Counseling Degrees offered are: Bachelors, Masters, and Ph.D. All programs teach a biblical counseling model, called Creation Therapy. This model includes the most in-depth Christian temperament analysis available, Arno Profile System (APS), that instantly gives the counselor or life coach an in-depth look at the client’s unique, inborn strengths, weaknesses, and needs. It then provides a step by step model for counseling and coaching. This is a program that fully equips the Christian Counselor through education, awarding of Christian counseling degrees and N.C.C.A. licensure, providing personal supervision and annual conferences for personal and professional growth, and requiring annual reporting and continued education.

Graduates are eligible to pursue certification and licensure through the National Christian Counselors Association (NCCA). Legacy works with students to prepare for certification examinations and meet all practicum requirements. Contact the admissions office for details on certification pathways.
